Fort Stockton Golf Camp

Over 20 Fort Stockton fourth through ninth grade students participated in the Panther Golf Camp from July 12-14 at Desert Pines Golf Course. The student-athletes were able to work on all areas of their game in the camp, including putting, chipping, and driving. The camp was led by Fort Stockton High School head golf coach Lea Daggett. The event was the second-to-last camp Fort Stockton ISD will host this summer. The final camp will be the football camp, held from Aug. 2-4 for third to eighth grade students. Photos by Nathan Heuer

Artist selected for Odessa installation

Local artist Steven Walker will represent Fort Stockton in the inaugural Basin 52 art exhibit. The art project will place fiftytwo works by 52 different West Texas artists in various city buildings across Odessa from Oct.1, 2021 to Sept. 30, 2022.
Odessa Arts has selected the sculpture of Fort Stockton’s Steven Walker “What The Hell Happened To Don’t Mess With Texas?” to be featured in the upcoming Basin 52 exhibition. Photo by Jeremy Gonzalez
