A crowd of family, friends, and supporters gathered at the Bill and Virginia Williams Special Events Center to celebrate two of Fort Stockton High School’s standout athletes, Mia Garcia and Rylan Nunez, as they officially signed their letters of intent to play collegiate sports. These accomplished seniors will take their talents to the next level, with Garcia set to play softball at Midland College and Nunez heading to Sul Ross State University to play baseball.

Despite mixed results, the teams’ performances reflect growth and determination as they gear up for the rest of the season.

Panther Basketball Dominates on the Court

The Fort Stockton Panther Basketball teams showcased their skills and resilience in a series of recent games and tournaments, achieving notable victories and proving their determination. Both the Varsity and Junior Varsity squads demonstrated their signature “Team Never Quit” (TNQ) mindset and “4th Quarter Fight Club” (4QFC) mentality, bringing pride to the community.

Seminole Christmas Meet

The Fort Stockton High School Blue Wave swim team had an impressive outing at the Seminole Christmas Invitational on Saturday, December 14. The meet marked a resurgence of success for the team, with the girls placing second overall out of nine teams and the boys finishing third out of six teams.

The Fort Stockton Middle School Panther and Prowler Basketball teams recently displayed their determination and talent in a week full of exciting games, beginning with the Alpine B Tournament and followed by their respective matchups at home and on the road. The 7th grade Panther White team had an impressive start at the Alpine B Tournament on December 7.

The Fort Stockton Prowler basketball teams delivered a week of thrilling action and impressive performances, starting with dominant victories at home against Lake View and culminating in a gritty display at the Denver City Tournament. The Freshman, JV, and Varsity squads showcased their growing chemistry, individual talent, and determination to rise to the challenge of their demanding schedule.
