On a roll: Panthers snag third district victory

Fort Stockton’s success against district opponents continued on Tuesday as the Panthers took an early lead and never looked back in their 10-5 victory over Monahans. Daren Ureste shifted the tide in the early stages of Tuesday’s homestand, hitting an inside-the-park home run in the second inning.

Panthers claim 7 medals, 2 titles

The Fort Stockton tennis team put forth their best performance of the season on Friday on their home tennis courts at the Spring Comanche Classic. Colton King and Melissa Villarreal each claimed titles in their respective singles divisions to lead their teams.

Williams continues dominance

Fort Stockton senior Alex Williams concluded the regular season on a high note for the Panthers golf team on March 27 at the 5A and 6A district preview tournament in Amarillo. Williams carded a 71 on Saturday after shooting a 77 on Friday to place fifth out of 60 golfers.

5 earn all-district honors

A total of four Fort Stockton basketball players were named to the Class 4A Region I District 2 basketball team last week. Junior forward Dominic Aguilar was selected to the district’s first team after leading his team in scoring a majority of the season.

Prowlers get best of Pecos in shootout

The Fort Stockton girls softball team secured their first district win of the season on Tuesday in a home contest against Pecos. The Prowlers took advantage of 13 Eagle errors and eight hits – led by 2-of-4 performance at the plate by Alyana Dominguez.
