Fort Stockton began district play with their most complete performance of the season on Thursday against Clint. The 41-0 victory marked the fifth time in the past decade that the Panthers won a district game by at least 40 points.
The Stockton Showdown car show was held at Rooney Park as a part of the Fall Festival festivities on Oct. 1. Brothers Andy and Michael Rivera organized the event and provided awards for the show’s top placers.
The Fort Stockton Community Theatre, local businesses, and the Chunk Arts Studio displayed historical documents, photos, and artwork that represented the local Hispanic culture and its past during Barrio Fest last weekend.
The Barrio Fest Car Show took place in the Pecos County Courthouse Annex parking lot on Sept. 17. The following were individuals who awards from Saturday's show:

Fort Stockton ISD held their annual Homecoming Parade on Sept. 15 as part of the weekly festivities that take place across the district.
The Panthers improved their record to 3-0 with a victory over El Paso Horizon on Friday, marking the second consecutive season Fort Stockton has started with three consecutive wins.
Fort Stockton will look to make it four in a row this upcoming Friday in their homecoming game against Crane (1-2).
The Panthers cruised to a 27-0 victory against the Bucks in Alpine behind a suffocating defense and a strong run game on a rainy evening. The shutout victory was their seventh in the past decade and their first under new head coach Jeremy Hickman.
Fort Stockton defeated El Paso Austin 18-16 in their season opener on Aug. 26 at Panther Stadium. The hard-fought- victory was the first for new head coach Jeremy Hickman and the fifth consecutive season-opening win for the Panthers.
The Fort Stockton football program hosted Decals with Dads on Aug. 25. Fathers and sons put decals on their helmets the evening before the Panthers first game of the season.
The event was a part of the unity movement that head coach Jeremy Hickman began when he arrived three months ago.
"We're doing this to open ourselves up to you and let you know we're here to try to bring you in and say this is all of us. It's all of us working together to make sure that our community and our kids are in the best hands they can be," he said.
