If you’ve driven on Texas roads you may have seen soda bottles, shredded rubber from old tires, or maybe even something large like a mattress or washing machine. It’s all litter and Tx-DOT works to clear it from the roadway.

Last year, a total of 4,278 votes were cast in Pecos County during the presidential election, including early, Election Day, and absentee ballots.

Pecos County Memorial Hospital Launches Employee Scholarship Program to Boost Professional Growth and Retention Last month, the Pecos County Memorial Hospital District approved an innovative scholarship program designed to support employees in furthering their education while strengthening the hospital’s workforce. The initiative, spearheaded by Chief Nursing Officer Shawn Nethery, offers tuition, books, and continued wages for staff pursuing medical degrees—in exchange for a commitment to work at the hospital postgraduation.
