District 37 Champions Crowned

The second half of the District 37 All-Stars baseball and softball tournament brought an exhilarating conclusion to the season, culminating in championship victories, standout performances, and a ticket to Sectionals for three Fort Stockton teams. While the 10U Minors softball team faced challenges on their inaugural journey, the 12U Majors baseball, Senior League baseball, and 14U Juniors softball teams emerged victorious, demonstrating their skills and dedication on the diamond.

Fort Stockton All-Stars Light Up the District 37 Tournament!

The newly constructed Cyclone Ballparks in Pecos, Texas, witnessed a dazzling display of baseball and softball talent as the Fort Stockton All-Stars took center stage at the District 37 Tournament! While the tournament is still ongoing for the softball teams, the baseball side has already seen some incredible performances from Fort Stockton’s finest young athletes.

Highschool Summer Camps open to incoming and current athletes Fort Stockton High School announced upcoming summer camps for 2024. Swimming sessions are $90 a session, while all other camps are $40 per camp.

Alpine Cowboys Dominate Pecos Bills in Sweep

The Alpine Cowboys continued their scorching start to the season, sweeping their Pecos Bills counterparts in all five games played last week. This dominant stretch extends their record to a leagueleading 17-1, putting them firmly in control of the Mountain Division.

Awards for Cheer

The Junior Varsity and Varsity cheerleaders attended Summer Cheer Camp from June 8 to 11 at Angelo State University. The Junior Varsity squad was awarded one Superior trophy, while the Varsity received the School Tradition Award. Senior mascot Avan Lujan was awarded the Mascot Tradition trophy and All-American Mascot medal. Senior Lizeth Robles received an America Needs Cheerleader pin for her leadership. This pin is forwarded from the UCA staff and other schools, showing leadership and helping other squads in need. Receiving this pin is a big honor and a great accomplishment for cheerleading. Five cheerleaders were selected as All-American Cheerleaders by the UCA staff and received individual medals for their achievements. Receiving All-American Cheerleader were sophomores Jaelynn Tapp and Erika Salgado, junior Jocelyn Carrillo, and seniors Aubrie Salgado and Abriel Villarreal.

Fort Stockton AllStars Take the Field as Regular Season Ends

The regular softball and baseball season has concluded, marking the beginning of the All-Stars League season for the Fort Stockton Recreation Department. Ruby Bernal, Director of Fort Stockton Recreation, shared insights into the All-Stars selection process, tournament details, and the challenges and hopes for the teams.
