Panther Stadium was buzzing with energy last Thursday evening, not just from the usual sights and sounds of football, but from a unique blend of grit and love that filled the air. The scoreboard read “FORT STOCKTON VS. EVERYBODY,” a fitting backdrop for an evening dedicated to the most important women in the lives of Fort Stockton High School football players—their moms.

In a season filled with unforgettable moments, the Alpine Cowboys capped off their recordbreaking year by winning the Pecos League Championship, their first since 2019. The Cowboys defeated the Garden City Wind to claim the Mountain Division Championship and then took down the reigning champions, the San Rafael Pacifics, in a thrilling two-game series at the historic Kokernot Field. This championship win marks 13 total for the Cowboys Franchise.

As the summer sun blazes on, the Fort Stockton Prowler Volleyball Team is heating up for what promises to be an exciting 2024 season. Under the guidance of Head Coach Jessica Tully- Mitchell, the team has been hard at work, preparing to build on last year’s solid performance and aiming for even greater success.

HIGHSCHOOL ATHLETIC SUMMER CAMPS Fort Stockton High School announced upcoming summer camps for 2024. Swimming sessions are $90 a session, while all other camps are $40 per camp.

The Alpine Cowboys have advanced to the Pecos League Mountain Division Championship after a nail-biting three-game series against the Tucson Saguaros that concluded with an electrifying walkoff victory in extra innings on Saturday night at Kokernot Field.

The Fort Stockton Panther Tennis team began their season with a competitive match against Brownfield this past Tuesday, though they faced a challenging defeat. Despite the outcome, the team showcased their potential and readiness for the season ahead, thanks to their rigorous summer preparation.

The middle school cheer camp was a hit this year with Miss Fort Stockton royalty in attendance. The camp and picture day was by all accounts a wonderful preview for the Prowler’s Season..

Season tickets will go on sale Friday, August 1st, in the athletic office at the high school. 2024 Season ticket holders will get first choice of tickets for the first two weeks of sales.
