Before it had a name, the LoneRunner Run Club was just one person: Emilie Feyry Natividad. A familiar face in Fort Stockton, Emilie had been running solo since 2016, using each step as a personal outlet—for stress relief, healing, and growth.

The Alpine Cowboys are gearing up for one of their most anticipated events of the season — the traditional 4th of July Fireworks Game series at historic Kokernot Field. But before they take the field under the celebratory night skies, the team has endured a whirlwind of games, showcasing resilience, flashes of brilliance, and a few tough breaks on the road.

Challenger League Game Brings Joy, Inclusion, and Community Spirit to the Diamond

On June 12, the Fort Stockton Challenger League lit up the ballfield with an unforgettable evening of joy, teamwork, and heartfelt community support. Held at the Fort Stockton Little League complex, the game was a celebration of inclusion as young athletes with disabilities took to the field to play the game they love—with a little help from their buddies and a whole lot of heart.

The Fort Stockton Little League continues to build on its winning tradition, celebrating a triumphant week as both the 12U Majors Baseball team and 14U Juniors Softball team were crowned District 37 Champions. The title wins mark backto- back district championships for both squads, showcasing the strength, resilience, and heart of Fort Stockton’s young athletes.

Cowboys Honor #57 with Big Wins

The Alpine Cowboys closed out a whirlwind week of baseball with an emotional tribute and a powerful win on Monday, June 9, the two-year anniversary of the passing of teammate #57 Jared Strait. With their 17-7 victory over the Blackwell FlyCatchers at Kokernot Field, the Cowboys capped off a week that featured explosive offense, gutsy pitching, and a rally to a winning 7-6 record.
On Monday, the Alpine honored their teammate Jared Straight, #57, who passed two years prior.

From West Texas to the World Stage

This week, two young athletes from Fort Stockton are competing on international courts in Barcelona, Spain — and two more from nearby Imperial will soon follow as they prepare to represent the United States in a multi-country tour through Europe. Fort Stockton’s Aundre Washington and Evan Cordero are currently in the midst of the Spain Euro Cup Tour, taking place June 8–16.
