The Fort Stockton cross country teams hit the trails in Midland this past Saturday, August 23, competing in the annual Tall City Invitational at Hogan Park. The meet was one of the largest of the early season, featuring over 700 athletes across six divisions. Against that deep field, the Panthers and Prowlers showed the kind of grit and determination that continues to define this year’s group.

The Fort Stockton Panthers are ready for Friday night lights. After wrapping up two competitive scrimmages, the Panthers now shift their full focus to the start of the 2025 season as they prepare to hit the road and face the San Angelo Lake View Chiefs this Friday, August 29, at 7 p.m.

The Sul Ross State University Football Team will open their 2025 football season on the road with a historic matchup against the University of Texas Rio Grande Valley on Saturday, August 30, at 7:00 PM at Robert and Janet Vackar Stadium in Edinburg, Texas.

Sul Ross State University named Dylan Dawson as Head Athletic Trainer at Sul Ross State in mid-June 2025. In addition, she will be the Senior Woman Administrator.

The Fort Stockton Prowlers volleyball team began their 2025 season last week with a tough stretch of matches on the road, facing a pair of strong non-district opponents in Wink and Odessa. Despite flashes of competitive play and moments where momentum swung their way, the Prowlers came up short in both contests and continue to search for their first win of the new season.
