Panther tennis suffers defeat to Loboes

It took three days, but the Fort Stockton tennis team was finally able to compete in their district finale with Monahans and ultimately fell to the Loboes, 13-6. The match was originally scheduled for Oct. 4 in Fort Stockton, but lightning and rain postponed the action until Oct. 5.

Panthers blank Lions in district opener, remain undefeated

Playing mistake free ball has been one of the primary focuses of Fort Stockton head coach Jeremy Hickman and his coaching staff since the start of the season. The Panthers (6-0) won their first five games by an average of 23 points per game despite committing 17 turnovers.

Fort Stockton began district play with their most complete performance of the season on Thursday against Clint. The 41-0 victory marked the fifth time in the past decade that the Panthers won a district game by at least 40 points.
