Monahans 2 Fort Stockton JV 0

The Fort Stockton Prowler volleyball team kicked off the second half of district play at home on Oct. 12 against neighbor rival Monahans.

The JV squad bettered their performance against the Lady Loboes but fell short in a 2-0 loss (25-14, 25-20). Prowler volleyball is back in action on Friday, Oct. 15 in Seminole.

Monahans 2 Fort Stockton 9th Grade 0

The Freshman Prowlers played Monahans on Oct. 12 at home. They came out with a lost in two sets (25-20, 25-12).

Aubrie Salgado tallied three assists and two aces. Salgado added nine additional serving points for the Prowlers.

Karina Marquez had two kills. And Kriselda Porras added two assists. Lizeth Robles had a total of six successful digs for the Prowlers.

Fort Stockton JV 2 Pecos 1

With extracurricular activities in full swing, Fort Stockton’s Volleyball program and the Pecos Lady Eagles agreed to change their district matchup to Friday. The JV Prowlers defeated the Lady Eagles in 3 with scores of 22-25, 25-16, and 25-12.

“Winning at home is fun. Our team appreciates the fans that come out to cheer the girls on. Thank you for your support Fort Stockton,” coach Sera Ramirez said.

Arissa Gonzalez (18) and Melissa Villarreal led the Prowlers in digs while Mia Garcia put down a team-high nine kills, 14 assists, and three aces. Setter Adamari Renteria dished out eight assists and Katheryn Mendoza added two blocks.

Fort Stockton 9th Grade 2 Pecos 1

Dmya Vaughn put down a team-high five kills and Salgado proved to be effective at the service line with a team-best 14 serves in the Fort Stockton freshman’s three set win against Pecos on Oct. 8.

The Prowlers won the match (25-17, 9-25, 25-21).
