The Fort Stockton baseball team will look to accomplish the same feat as the Prowlers softball team did this past weekend when then play Riverside in the opening round of the Class 4A playoffs in Seminole.

The Panthers (15-10) will play game one against Riverside (16-9) in Seminole on Friday, May 6 starting at 7 p.m. Game two is scheduled for Saturday, May 7 at noon.

The Panthers and Prowlers both ended the season in fourth place in 4A District 2. Both the Riverside softball and baseball teams were district champions in 4A District 1.

The Riverside baseball team went 8-1 in district play and earned an outright district title by downing Clint in a third game between the teams to end the season.
