Junior Ali Jackson became a three-time regional qualifier on Thursday at the Prowlers’ area track meet in Canyon.

Jackson placed fourth in both the 400-meter dash and the 200. The upperclassman clocked the second sub-minute 400 time of her career and personal-record 59.56 seconds en route to her area qualification.

Jackson’s 26.64 second 200 meter time was also a personal record, topping her previous best mark by .10 seconds.

In 2022, Jackson qualified for regionals in the 200, 400, and 800. In 2021 as freshman, Jackson qualified for regionals in the 400 and 800.

Freshman Summer Hinojos placed sixth in the 3,200-meter run in a time of 13.44 and took seventh in the mile, finishing the race in 6:07 – a personal-record time.

Adriana Aguilar ended the 100-meter dash in seventh place with a time of 13.43.

The Prowler 1,600 relay team (Lizeth Robles, Rosa Hernandez, Priscilla Trevino, Jackson) placed seventh (4:15). The time matched the Prowlers’ district mark from a week prior.

Up next for Jackson is the 4A Region 1 track meet in Lubbock, April 28-29.
