One day it is hot and the next it is cold and it sure makes it difficult to know what clothes to wear. The changes in temperature have caused a lot of sickness. There are coughs and sinus infections going around and if you get it you may not get over it in several days.

Why are things this way? When God originally made the world it was totally different than what we see now. For instance, there was no sickness or diseases or seasons like summer and winter so you did not need a winter coat. Another thing, it did not rain and we did not have floods or droughts. The plants and trees were adequately watered with a mist that rose from the ground and by a river, (Genesis 2:5-10). There were also no bad or poisonous plants. So why the big change? It was God’s punishment on Adam and Eve for their disobedience in the Garden of Eden, (Genesis 3:17-19). Later on God also punished mankind with a flood because of so much wickedness or disobedience, (Genesis 6:11-13).

God promised as long as the earth remains there will be day and night, summer and winter, cold and heat, (Genesis 8:21 & 22). God is going to judge all mankind one more time, (Revelation 20:11-15). Many live as enemies to God but may we live like Noah because God was pleased with him, (Genesis 6:9).
