Lou Ann McKenzie, 86, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away peacefully on Feb. 13, 2021, in Houston, Texas, surrounded by family and her grand-dog Gigi. Lou Ann’s passing was on the same date as her mother, Ione Lowry, 35 years earlier.

Juan Reyna Sanchez entered into rest on Feb. 17, 2021. He was born on July 8, 1932, to Rumaldo and Maria Sanchez.

Banette Bryce entered into rest on Feb. 9, 2021. She was born Oct. 11, 1956, to David and Aluerna Bryce. Buni was a member of the Pecos County Memorial Hospital auxiliary and a hospice volunteer, and was an active member of Church of Christ.

Sharon Conner went to be with the Lord on Feb. 11 2021. She loved being around people, and working with the public. She started working at what is now Lowe’s in 1976, retiring in 2011. Sharon loved playing the piano at her church, and singing hymns.

Abel Garcia Acosta passed away on Feb. 10, 2021. He was born to Eugenio Acosta and Luz Garcia Acosta on April 1, 1935, in Fort Stockton, Texas.

Enedina C. Baeza entered into rest on Feb. 12, 2021. She was born on Feb. 13, 1940, to Manuel and Anita Contreras. She was an excellent cook who loved to dance, and was a friend to everyone. Her quick wit and charm would win you over.

Lorena Renteria Ramirez entered into rest on Feb. 12, 2021. She was born Sept. 18, 1980, to Aurelio and Amelia Renteria. Lorena was a fantastic nurse who always put others before herself. She loved to spend her days off with her granddaughter and mother.

Dorothea Ferrante passed away in Mesquite, Texas on Feb. 5, 2021, at the age of 99 from complications of COVID-19. She was born in Owensboro, Kentucky on May 31, 1921 to Ruth Knight Norris and Elmer Norris.

James Solomon Shellenberger, 88, of Fort Stockton, Texas, died Jan. 24, 2021. James was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jimmie Lee Bean Shellenberger.
