Elidia Pacheco Cervantez, was born on March 25, 1938 in Fort Stockton, to Natalio and Catarina Pacheco. She graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1958 and then attended St. Mary’s University in San Antonio, where she studied business and lived at Providence where she was blessed with gratitude and hospitality.

Elidia married the love of her life Leo Cervantez on December 25, 1963 and moved to Ozona to begin their life together. They had three children, Evelyn Kerbow (husband Bruce), Ninfa Preddy (husband Mike), and Edward Cervantez (wife Janie). Elidia loved raising her children in the Baptist Church that her husband help build, where she taught Sunday School, Girls in Action, and was a leader of the Women’s Ministry.

As a grandmother, “Bubbie”, she enjoyed cooking and baking for her three granddaughter’s, Miranda Medley (Joel), Lori Lozano (Josh), and Cristan Davila (Joshua) and three grandson’s AJ (Kymberlee), Ruben, and Brandon (Nina) Cardenas.

Grandma Lilly’s proudest moments were being able to witness the births of her great grandchildren Kambri, Kailyn, and Trey Preddy, Kyzer and Annalee Jones, Joshua, Noah, and Olivia Davila, Eisley Santos, Hunter Eslora, Hayden, Kristen, Ava, and Mila Cardenas, Dalton and Jansen Morris, Conner Berry, Reverdy and Zella Kerbow.

She is survived by her husband of 57 years and her sister Elodia Baiza of Ft. Stockton.  Elidia’s legacy was wanting everyone to accept Christ as their personal savior and to know his unconditional love. In the midst of her pain, she was unselfish and always prayed for others. She was a woman of faith and though she will be greatly missed, she left us with many beautiful memories that we will cherish forever.
