It is with deep sorrow that we announce the passing of Edward Lee Esparza, born September 29, 1957. Edward was a humble and compassionate individual whose kindness touched the lives of all who knew him.

A proud veteran, Edward served his country honorably in the U.S. Air Force, where he was promoted to the rank of Sergeant, exemplifying his dedication and leadership. His unwavering commitment to service and his gentle spirit remains an inspiration to his family and friends.

He was a loyal, die-hard Dallas Cowboys fan, always supporting his team with passion and pride.

He is preceded in death by his father, Arturo Esparza. He is survived by his mother, Istalia Nan Esparza; his sisters Arasaly Acosta, Abigail Esparza, and Grace Fultz; his brother Everett Esparza; and his two children, Brandon Esparza and Chelsea Esparza. Edwardo was also a proud grandfather to four grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

A rosary was held on Monday, September 29, at 9:30 a.m., followed by a Funeral Service at 10 a.m. at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish- St. Agnes Catholic Church with Fr. Francis officiating. Burial followed at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Arrangements were entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

He leaves behind a legacy of integrity, humility, and kindness. Edward’s memory will be treasured by all who had the privilege of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
