Ciria C. Alcala of Fort Stockton, Texas, reunited with her Lord and Savior on December 11, 2025, at the age of 92. She was a woman of faith and prayer and always bestowed a personal blessing upon anyone who crossed her path. She fiercely loved God and her family, and relished in giving everyone around her a nickname, sometimes with the most humorous of results.

Visitation will be Thursday, December 18, 2025, from 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Eternity Funeral Home, 600 E. Dickinson Blvd., Fort Stockton, Texas.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 19, 2025, at 3:00 P.M. at Templo Triunfo De La Fe, 606 N. Colpitts St., Fort Stockton, Texas, with burial services to immediately follow at East Hill Cemetery. Arrangements are entrusted to Eternity Funeral Home.

Ciria C. Alcala was born on August 3, 1933, in Nueva Rosita, Mexico, to Pablo Cervantes and Anita Alvarez. In her early twenties Ciria and her husband, Jesus Alcala, bravely ventured to the United States in pursuit of a better life for themselves and their children. Ciria loved to take care of her children, husband, and grandchildren. She also loved to dance, sing, and take drives into Fort Stockton from her home in Belding, Texas, to go shopping. Her favorite stop at the conclusion of her visits into town was Sonic Drive-In, where she would order her favorite: a cheeseburger, fries, and a Dr. Pepper. She later loved nothing more than being surrounded by her numerous great-grandchildren.

She was steadfastly and heavily involved in her church and was widely known for frequently singing her church songs and praising God for all off His glory. Ciria and Jesus volunteered at the church constantly and never hesitated to open their home to anyone in need. Living as Christians was of paramount importance to them both.

Ciria Alcala is survived by her children- Manuel Alcala, Anastacio Alcala (wife- Abby Alcala), Maria Arcides, Sergio Alcala (wife-Diane Alcala), and Elizabeth Alcala. She leaves behind her grandchildren- Adelina Wofford, Lilly Ayozie, Erica Arcides, Monica Gonzales, and John Alcala. She is also survived by numerous loving greatgrandchildren and two of her sisters: Rosa Ramos and Bertha Cervantes.

She is preceded in death by three of her children: Beto Alcala, Pablo Alcala, and a baby daughter, as well as her husband, Jesus Alcala, to whom she was married for 67 years at the time of his death in 2021.

The Alcala Family wishes to extend its most sincere thanks and gratitude to Fort Stockton Home Hospice and all the nurses, doctors, and health care professionals who provided such wonderful, loving care to our beloved Ciria. Further, the Alcala Family would like to issue a special, heartfelt appreciation to Ciria’s extended church family at Triunfo De La Fe, who fueled her life with their boundless love, support, care, and fellowship. We are all grateful for your kindness and your compassion. Finally, to all: as Ciria was so fond of saying, “Que dios te bendiga.”
