Dear Neil, This plant did fine through the hot, dry summer. Then, in late September, its leaves started turning black. The leaves that still look green look wilted. Seven other plants of the same kind are doing well. What gives?

This fall, The University of Texas at Austin’s Department of Astronomy welcomed the inaugural class of postdoctoral fellows to its Cosmic Frontier Center. The Frontier Fellows will support the center, which launched earlier this year, in its mission to uncover the origins of galaxies in the universe through a combination of theoretical and observational astrophysics.

The Fort Stockton Community Theatre (FSCT) invites residents to get into the holiday spirit with its production of The Little Town of Christmas, a heartwarming play by Pat Cook.
