The Pecos County Senior Center announced its board members for 2022 at its annual Christmas luncheon.

Present for the swearing in were Pecos County Judge Joe Shuster and Precinct No. 1 County Commissioner Tom Chapman.

New board members are: Alonzo Martinez, president; Delores Perkins, vice president; secretary, Anna Weathers; treasurer, Diann Warnock; historian, Mary Kay Mills; recreation, Debbi Bachman; membership, Shirley Smetak; publicity, Kirby Warnock; food service, Paul Webb.

Memberships for the senior center are only $5 a year and open to all Pecos County seniors that are 55-years old and older.

Activities include regular Skip Bo games, potluck luncheons, Fourth of July hot dog suppers, Sing Alongs and other events throughout the year.

It’s a great way to get out of the house, meet new people and have a cool place to relax during the hot summer months. For younger folks, it’s a place for your parents, or grandparents, that is safe and keeps them active during the daylight hours.

The Pecos County Senior Center is located at 1010 W. 14th St. in Fort Stockton.

Director Maria Gilbert may be contacted at 432- 336-2302.

The entire staff and volunteers look forward to seeing you there in the coming year.
