The Fort Stockton Independent School District held their first ever vaccine clinic on Tuesday in partnership with the National Guard.

A total of 174 students, parents, and community members received a combination of Pfizer and Johnson & Johnson shots.

Fort Stockton ISD Assistant Superintendent Gil-Rey Madrid reported that between 5-10 Johnson & Johnson doses were given out and the rest were Pfizers. A majority of the shots were first-time shots and a handful of doses were second shots.

The school was allotted 350 shots for the clinic.

Individuals who received their first shot at the clinic held at the high school’s Special Events Center are scheduled to receive their second dose on Tuesday, Aug. 24 according to Madrid.
