Fort Stockton sex offender arrested in Mexico
Pecos County Sheriff T.J. Perkins reported on April 4 that Fort Stockton resident Braulio Davila-Luna, one of Texas’ 10 most wanted sex offenders, was arrested in Mexico by local authorities.
Davila-Luna was found in part to anonymous information provided by a tipster. A reward up to $3,000 was offered for information that led to his arrest.
Davila-Luna was listed on the Top 10 Most Wanted Fugitive Sex Offenders list by Texas Department of Public Safety on March 23 after failing to comply with his annual, lifetime sex offender registration requirements.
Davila-Luna was turned over to Texas DPS CID Special Agents at the Del Rio port of entry. Davila-Luna was extradited to the Pecos County Jail on April 5 to face charges of failing to register as a sex offender.
Davila-Luna had three warrants out for his arrest before his capture on Monday.
The Fort Stockton resident received a bond of $35,000 for a ROS Warrant and a $70,000 bond for a failure to appear warrant – both for sex offenders duty to register life/annually.
The third warrant for his arrest was a federal hold for the same offense. No bond was given for the charge.
Davila-Luna is also wanted by the United States Marshal’s Service according to the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office.
Davila-Luna is currently being held at the Pecos County Jail.
