Five people arrested in Fort Stockton drug busts
The Pecos County Sheriff’s Office, Texas DPS Criminal Investigations Division, and the U.S. Marshals executed two arrest and search warrants on Feb. 10 in Fort Stockton.
Four Fort Stockton residents and a San Antonio resident were apprehended in two separate drug busts.
Brandon Sylvester, 33, and Angela Tovar, 34, of Fort Stockton, were arrested at a residence on the 1000 block of Texas Street and charged with four separate charges each. Charges included manufacture and delivery of a controlled substance (alprazolam, commonly known as Xanax), and three counts of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, alprazolam, THC).
An additional unknown package with powder sealed for distribution was located at the residence and sent to the Department of Public Safety lab for analysis.
Four children that were at the location were released to Child Protective Services and delivered to a family member according to a press release from the Pecos County Sheriff’s Office.
Sylvester and Tovar received bonds totaling $56,000. Both posted bond according to Pecos County Sheriff TJ Perkins.
Fort Stockton residents Chelsey Levario, 26, and Armando Melendez, 38, as well as San Antonio resident Carolina Melendez, 31, were arrested on Thursday after the execution of an arrest and search warrant in a second drug bust at a residence in the 700 block of Dees Street.
Armando Melendez was charged with manufacture and delivery of controlled substance (cocaine) and six counts of possession of a controlled substance (LSD, methamphetamine, cocaine, mushrooms, anabolic steroids, THC).
Carolina Melendez was charged with interfering with public duties, resisting arrest, and possession of a controlled substance (THC).
Chelsey Levario was charged with tampering with evidence and two counts of possession of a controlled substance (cocaine, Adderall).
Additional pills were located at the residence and will be sent to the lab for analysis. Also found was an extremely emaciated dog, who was given to the care of Animal Control, and three children that were referred to the care of CPS.
Armando Melendez received bonds totaling $100,000. Carolina Melendez received bonds totaling $36,000. Levario received bonds totaling $36,000.
All three posted bond and are no longer in custody.
Additional charges are pending further investigation and evidence collection.
