Community theatre to feature “Barefoot in the Park”
Reservations are now being taken for dinner theatre for Fort Stockton Community Theatre’s production of “Barefoot in the Park,” by Neil Simon and directed by Alice Duerksen.
Stage Manager for the production is Michele Huckaby.
Dinner theatre will be on Saturday, July 23, at 6:30 p.m. in the FMH room next to the theatre. A meal of pork loin and the trimmings will be served before the show by Friends of the Theatre. Tickets are $40 per person which includes the meal and the show following. Pre-paid reservations are required. Call Alice Duerksen at 432-336-3180 to make reservations.
The adult comedy stars Jordan Ward and Garrett Huckaby as the newlyweds, Corie and Paul. Veteran actress Penny Smith plays Corie’s mother, and newcomer Marcos Mendoza, Jr., plays Victor Velasco. Michael Shuttleworth returns to the stage as the telephone repairman.
The show will open Friday, July 22, at 7 p.m. Other performances will be the Saturday night dinner theatre, a Sunday matinee at 2 p.m. on July 24, and Thursday, Friday, and Saturday nights, July 28-30, at 7 p.m.
Doors will open 30 minutes before curtain. Tickets may be purchased at the door, except for dinner theatre, for $15 for adults and $10 for students and those over 65.
