Abigail Villarreal, Sixth Grade, Middle School Student of the Month “She is nominated for her leadership. Her teachers describe her as the most helpful and caring student to walk the Fort Stockton Middle School halls with a heart of gold. She pitches in wherever needed and aids student throughout the day getting from classroom to classroom. We do have some new students that come in and she takes them to their classrooms. Even right now, if I was nervous or having some issues she’d jump in and finish my speech. She’s also being honored for her academics. She excels in her classes. For the first two quarters she’s been an AP honor student. Fort Stockton Middle School is very proud of Abigail,” Middle School Principal Sammy Soliz said.
Damian Lopez, Fifth Grade, Intermediate Student of the Month Damian is a model student. He’s usually one of the first students that is done with his assignments and then he turns around and helps his fellow classmates with their work as well. He wants everyone to be included and works well with his fellow classmates. He is described as being selfaware of what he needs to do and gets it done right away. He also will stay to help teachers clean up the classroom to help them get ready for the next class. He is a self-starter and we’re excited to see the amazing things he’ll accomplish the rest of the school year and beyond,” Intermediate Principal Julian Castillo said.
Abrian Leyva, Alamo Student of the Month “This young man arrives to school every day with a positive attitude. His goal is to make everyone smile. His teachers are so proud of his academic growth since the beginning this year. His teachers expressed that they look forward to having him in class every day. His favorite thing is to be the classroom helper. Abrian is our student of the month because he comes to school every day ready to learn, to make others happy and never give up and always ready to learn something new every day,” Alamo Assistant Principal Cathy Havins said.
