Tomas Dominguez, 39, was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, to Rogelio and Rosa Dominguez on December 25, 1986. He was raised in Fort Stockton, where he made his home with his wife and children. He attended Fort Stockton Schools. He worked in the Oilfield for many years as roustabout and also had the honor to work alongside his father in Dawson Geophysics. His kids were his pride and joy, his everything whom he shared an amazing bond with as their bestie.

Pecos County implements 90-day burn ban

The Pecos County Commissioners Court addressed a wide range of public safety, infrastructure, and local development issues during its regular meeting Monday, enacting a 90-day burn ban while clearing the way for a major permanent housing development aimed at supporting the region’s data center industry. County officials opened the session with a disaster declaration regarding the threat of wildfires, followed by an order prohibiting outdoor burning through April 25, 2026.

Despite the biting cold this past weekend, members of the Pecos County Amateur Radio Club had over 100 contacts while gathered at Officers Quarter 8 at the Fort in Fort Stockton to demonstrate the enduring power of amateur radio. The annual Winter Field Day, held on January 24 and 25, offered the community a unique opportunity to “step back in time” while exploring the future of global communication.

33rd Pioneer Reunion Set for February 2026 in Alpine

History enthusiasts and those interested in the heritage of the Big Bend region are invited to attend the 33rd Pioneer Reunion, scheduled for Saturday, February 7. The event will be held from 10:30 AM to 4:45 PM at the Espino Conference Center, located on the second floor of the Morgan University Center at Sul Ross State University in Alpine, Texas.
