The Fort Stockton Film Society will host a free public screening of the 1985 adventure film The Goonies on Saturday, Aug. 2, at the Nelson Street Theater.

USDA Opens Nominations for Local Farm Service Agency County Committees

The U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA) is now accepting nominations for farmers and ranchers to serve on local Farm Service Agency (FSA) county committees. The committees play a key role in administering federal farm programs at the local level. Nomination forms for the 2025 election must be submitted to local FSA offices or postmarked by Aug. 1, 2025.

Mexican Consulate to visit Fort Stockton Library

Mexican Consulate from Del Rio will be at the Fort Stockton Public Library on Saturday July 19. The Consulate will provide assistance with passport issues, civil registration and Visa certification and obtaining birth and death certificates. Appointments can be made by calling 1-830775-2352. The consulate will be making one visit in 2025.
