Panthers historic season concludes

Significant progress was made from last year’s playoff appearance, but the result proved to be the same. The Fort Stockton football team played in the area round of the playoffs for the second consecutive season on Friday in Lubbock against Dumas – the 4A-1 District 3 champions.

Irma Ortega Johnston reunited with her Lord and Savior on Nov. 17, 2021. Irma was born and raised in Fort Stockton, Texas, where she was educated. Irma moved to El Paso, Texas in 1968, she returned to Fort Stockton where she worked as a care giver, working at the nursing home and as a physical therapist assistant, later became a correctional officer. She became a certified nursing assistant working at Baylor Scott & White Hospital in College Station, Texas.
