The Fort Stockton Panthers gave their home crowd plenty to cheer about on Friday night, securing a 35-13 victory over the Crane Golden Cranes in their 2025 homecoming matchup. The win marked the Panthers’ third straight and improved their record to 3-1 heading into the final week of non-district play.

Special Olympics Panthers Power to First Place Finish

The Fort Stockton Special Olympics Panther Softball team proved once again why they’re among the best in Texas, traveling to Midland and leaving with gold medals in hand. The Panthers entered the round robin tune-up with their eyes locked on the bigger prize—the upcoming Fall Classic Games in Odessa—and their performance made one thing clear: this team is ready to defend their state championship.

Panthers, Prowlers Battle Big Spring Course Ahead of District Meet

The Fort Stockton Panthers and Prowlers Cross Country teams made the trip to Big Spring this past weekend, where they faced a punishing course and some of the toughest competition yet this season. Taking on runners from powerhouse 5A and 6A programs out of Odessa, Midland, and Lubbock, the Fort Stockton athletes embraced the challenge and showed steady progress as district approaches.

Prowler Middle School Volleyball Teams Show Growth, Grit, and Championship Spirit

The Fort Stockton Middle School Prowler Volleyball program has been busy in recent weeks, with all four teams – 7th Grade A, 7th Grade B, 8th Grade A, and 8th Grade B – putting in strong performances on the court. Guided by coaches Alhea Ureste, Vanessa Loya, and Ella Gonzales, the Prowlers have faced tough competition, but the results show steady growth and even championship-level success.

Sotelo’s Kickoff Return Sparks Panthers’ 16-14 Victory

The Fort Stockton Panthers made it two wins in a row on Friday night, pulling out a nail-biting 16-14 victory over the Pecos Eagles. While the outcome wasn’t as lopsided as in previous meetings, the Panthers’ grit and special teams play proved to be the difference as they notched their fifth consecutive win over their longtime rival.

Prowlers Sweep Midland Classical

It was a strong week for Prowler Volleyball across both the high school and middle school levels, with teams showing grit, growth, and determination as they push deeper into the season. At the high school level, the Prowlers hosted Midland Classical on Friday, and the home crowd was treated to a pair of dominant performances.

Panther Cross Country Battles Hills

The Fort Stockton Cross Country team made the trip west on Saturday, September 13, to take on the grueling terrain of the Big Bend Mountain Ramble in Alpine. Known for its tough elevation changes and rolling hills, the course provided a true test of endurance.
After last week’s Alpine meet, Fort Stockton looks to carry that momentum into next week’s McCamey Badger Invitational on September 20 before heading to the Lubbock Invitational later this month.
