Another great event took place fifty days after Jesus miraculously arose from the grave. At forty days He ascended into the clouds from the top of Mount of Olives in the presence of His disciples, (Acts 1:9). So, what happened 10 days later? The disciples were told to go to Jerusalem and wait, (Acts 1:4 &5). On the tenth day while they were all together, (Acts 2:1-12, 17 &18).

The Fort Stockton City Council is scheduled to meet Tuesday, May 26, to deliberate on a wideranging agenda that includes significant infrastructure investments, updates to local traffic laws, and plans for municipal employee appreciation. The regular meeting will begin at 5:30 p.m. at 121 West Second Street.

Pecos County invites the local community to observe Memorial Day on Monday, May 25, 2026, for a special day of reflection, gratitude, and remembrance. The ceremony is scheduled to begin at 10:00 a.m. at Zero Stone Park in Fort Stockton.

Following the Memorial Day holiday, the Pecos County Commissioners Court is scheduled to convene for a regular session on Tuesday, May 26, 2026. The meeting will take place at 10:30 A.M.
