Venom meets Panthers at final home game

The Fort Stockton based Texas Venom baseball team met the Panthers varsity baseball team and took a photo on Fort Stockton’s High School field on Friday before the team’s final home game of the season against Andrews. “Texas Venom is a 10U Baseball travel team comprised of players that love all aspects of the game. These players bring a level of dedication and intensity that their hometowns should be proud of! All the parents and coaches are proud of each and every one of these young stars for dreaming big,” Venom head coach Isai Rojas said. Players included are: Daidrian De la Rosa , Logan Freeman, Aiden Salamanca , Simon Aleman, Tres Hinostroza, Guero Cabello , Jaecent Reyes , Aziel Rojas, Roy Herrera, Bat Boy Gianni Hinostroza , and those not pictured Steven Rodriguez, Ruben Ramirez, Brinden Norwood. Track and field: 14 Panthers, Prowlers qualify for regionals

A total of 14 Fort Stockton track and field athletes took one step closer to qualifying for the state meet on April 15 at the team’s respective area track meet at Clint Mountain View High School.

A pair of Panther relay teams and Ali Jackson were top performers for Fort Stockton as the five male athletes who made up the two relay teams, and Jackson brought home a total of three gold medals.

Prowlers JV tie Greenwood

The Fort Stockton junior varsity softball team ended Friday’s contest with Greenwood in a 6-6 tie after a back-and-forth game that featured plenty of offense from both teams. Fort Stockton gained a 3-0 lead in the top of the first inning and the Rangers responded with a pair of runs in the bottom of the frame.
