The Fort Stockton softball team made plenty of contact at the plate during Friday’s home game against Andrews but were unable to take advantage as the Lady Mustangs were sure handed in the field. While the Prowlers were also stingy defensively, a five-run second inning by Andrews was enough for them to get a 7-1 win.

The Fort Stockton based Texas Venom baseball team met the Panthers varsity baseball team and took a photo on Fort Stockton’s High School field on Friday before the team’s final home game of the season against Andrews. “Texas Venom is a 10U Baseball travel team comprised of players that love all aspects of the game. These players bring a level of dedication and intensity that their hometowns should be proud of! All the parents and coaches are proud of each and every one of these young stars for dreaming big,” Venom head coach Isai Rojas said. No matter the circumstance a game presents to them, the Fort Stockton baseball team has seemingly found a way to make the best of their opportunities on the diamond in recent time. On Friday at home against Seminole, the Indians committed five errors and Fort Stockton took full advantage.

Practice makes perfect, or so they say. Fort Stockton senior Alex Williams has put plenty of time into his craft on the golf course over the years.

The Fort Stockton softball team fell behind early and were unable to mount a rally in a 19-2 loss to Seminole during their seventh district outing of the season on April 9 at home. Seminole scored on a double by Laila Gutierrez and a two-run home run by Xyla Madry in the first inning, securing a 4-0 lead.

Alex Williams accomplished one of the rarest feats you can achieve on a golf course on Tuesday during the first round of the district golf tournament in Lubbock. The Fort Stockton senior managed to shoot an albatross on the par-5 11th hole – a feat where a golfer makes it in the cup in two shots on a par 5.

The JV Blue Panthers baseball team hosted the Monahans junior varsity on Tuesday afternoon. Solid pitching performances by Xzavier Dominguez and Julian Leyva set the tone for the Panthers.
