4th of July at Kokernot:

The Alpine Cowboys faced a rollercoaster week of baseball as they battled through back-to-back series against the Pecos Bills and the Garden City Wind during a festive and competitive Fourth of July stretch. The week began with back-to-back losses to the Pecos Bills.
Friday’s Fourth of July doubleheader at Kokernot Field, capped a dramatic 7-6 comeback victory over Pecos after dropping Game 1 in a 12-11 thriller. The twin bill replaced Thursday’s weather-canceled game, treating fans to holiday fireworks both on the field and in the sky. Courtesy Photo

Emilie Feyry Natividad stands beneath the “West Texas Loves You” arch near Paisano Pete, watching the horizon as she waits for fellow LoneRunners to return—reminding Fort Stockton that every step forward begins with showing up.
