JV White claims victory over Permian

The junior varsity White team defeated Permian in three sets (25-15, 21-25, 15-4) to claim Fort Stockton’s only victory over the 6A Panthers. The Prowlers freshman squad fell to Permian 25-11, 25-19. Fort Stockton’s junior varsity Blue squad dropped two straight sets to Permian (25-17, 25-10) in their home matchup on Sept. 2.

JV unites to defeat Odessa Academy

The junior varsity Prowlers were successful against Odessa’s Compass Academy in their matchup on Aug. 30. The Prowlers defeated the Lady Cougars 26-24, 25-17. Adamari Renteria led the Prowlers with 11 assists and Eliana Montes recorded 11 digs to lead in that department. Karina Marquez and Jocelyn Arcides tallied five and four kills respectively.

Fort Stockton’s freshman team played Compass Academy team and came up short in a 25-23, 25-18 match.

“The Prowlers showed tremendous success and were able to compete with the Lady Cougars,” assistant coach Sera Ramirez said.
