Fort Stockton’s offense is sizzling.

The Panthers' freshman squad scored 50-plus points for the second week in a row on Oct. 20 in a home contest against Mountain View and they did so behind a career-best performance from Jose Galindo.

The freshman found the endzone four times on the ground and the Panthers cruised to their most dominant win of the season in a 52-6 victory.

“We came together as a family and protected the house,” coach Lea Daggett said. “The team stepped up and played one of the best games of the year.”

Galindo scored rushing TDs on runs from six, five, four, and three yards out.

Quarterback Kasch Norman recorded the longest offensive play of the day via a 52-yard TD run, the Panthers final touchdown of the game. Norman added a 17-yard TD run and Cedric Lopez broke a long one himself, finding his way to the endzone on a 49-yard rush.

Diego Ramos had the defensive play of the game for the Panthers with an interception to start to the second half.

Daggett mentioned Allan Leyva and Juan Velasquez as standouts on the defensive side of the ball, along with Ramos.

The victory followed a 54-20 win over Monahans last week.

Fort Stockton will head to Pecos on Thursday, Oct. 27 to face the Eagles.
