Fort Stockton junior Anthony Gomez won the 12-team Seminole Diving Meet on Thursday, Dec. 10 to stay unbeaten this year.

Gomez won the competition by over 20 points and was ranked first in each of his six dives -- meaning he had the highest score in every dive.

Sophomore Eric Gonzalez Jr. placed sixth in the competition that was held in Andrews.

For the girls, junior Leslie Esquivel managed a third-place finish for the Prowlers.

On Friday, the Fort Stockton junior and sophomore classes highlighted the Panthers outing at the Seminole Holiday Swim Meet featuring Andrews, and Monahans.

Juniors Yajaira Fortson and Quaylon Rios earned runner-up finishes individually as Fortson placed second in the 100 backstroke while Rios accomplished the same feat in the 100 fly.

Fortson was also a part of the thirdplace 200 free relay team (Esquivel, Arissa Jimenez, Ashlyn Foster) and recorded a fifth-place finish in the 50 freestyle.

Esquivel joined Fortson as the most successful Prowlers at the meet via three third-place finishes including: diving competition, 100 breaststroke, 200 free relay.

Jimenez finished seventh in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free. Fellow sophomore, Foster took seventh in the 100 free.

On the boys team, juniors Connor Miller, JC Napay, Rios, and Andrew Rangel placed fourth in the 200 medley relay. Sophomore Bryan Lozano, freshman Brenton Tollett, sophomore Aiden Cobos, and freshman Alex Granado brought home sixth place points for the Panthers in the medley relay.

Miller and Rangel placed fourth and fifth respectively in the 100 free. Grando ended the same race in seventh place.

Napay finished the 100 breaststroke in fifth place while newcomer Brenton Tollett placed sixth.
