Fort Stockton golf concludes season at districts

The Fort Stockton golf team competed at the district meet in Lubbock on April 31. The Fort Stockton golf team had their season come to a close at the District 2-4A golf tournament at Shadow Hills Golf Course in Lubbock on April 31.

The Panthers placed seventh as a team out of the 12 squads that competed. The Fort Stockton boys tallied 730 strokes as a team – six fewer than Pecos and Greenwood.

Ejay Ortiz led the Panthers by carding a 176 over the course of two rounds. Ortiz shot a 76 in the second round – 16 strokes lower than his first round.

Dominic Aguilar was second on the team with a 182 and Andrew Rangel finished with a score of 202.

The Panthers B Team was paced by Anthony Gomez’s 189.

The Prowlers finished in ninth place as a team with a team score of 922.

Gabriela Galindo carded a team-low 219 for the Fort Stockton girls.
