Fort Stockton cross country squad teams up in first meet

Fort Stockton’s cross country program began their 2022 season on Aug. 20 at the Derek Hernandez Memorial Relays in Andrews. The Prowlers’ top female runners, Ali Jackson and Summer Hinojos, finished in third place in their respective division. Fabian Perez and Diego Ronquillo teamed together in the boy’s division and placed sixth overall.

According to head coach Sergio Guardiola, the outstanding runners for each division for the Prowlers and Panthers outside of their top runners were: Middle school girls: Madi Castro, Lexi Pillado.

Middle school boys: Santiago Tarrango, Christian Soto.

High school girls: Paulina Hernandez, Natalie Molinar, Arissa Jimenez, Marlayna Salmon, Ella Otierney High school boys: Jesus Hernandez, Ezekiel Soto, Khalil Jackson, Bruno Arcides, Jose Aguilar, Rylan Jimenez, Luis Medina, Aryan Hernandez, Christian Soto and Jose Sarabia.

The Fort Stockton cross country program will travel to Midland for the Tall City Invitational on Saturday Aug. 27 at Hogan Park.
