Fort Stockton JV 40 Ysleta 6

The junior varsity Panthers undefeated streak is alive and well.

Fort Stockton’s record improved to 5-0 on the season with their most dominant win of their 2022 campaign on Thursday in a neutral site game against Ysleta.

Jayden Ramirez's 30-yard scoop and score off a Ysleta fumble caused by EJ Ortiz highlighted the Panthers 34-point victory.

Four different Panthers ended the games with scores, including a game-high two rushing touchdowns by Johnny Brown. Gerry Diaz and Landon Havins each found the endzone once on the ground.

“Offensively we couldn’t be stopped,” Fort Stockton coach Zack Roberson said. “We high kneed off the bus ready for action and ran for over 250 yards. Defensively, we gave up a total of 75 yards.”

Fort Stockton converted all five of their two-point conversion attempts. Conversion were made by Ortiz, Diaz, Zeke Soto, Davian Palacios, and Isaiah Uretes.

The Panthers JV will have a bye week before heading to Clint on Thursday, Oct. 6.

Fort Stockton Freshman 29 Big Spring 6

Cedric Lopez and Christian Bislar combined for three rushing touchdowns and Kasch Norman ran a punt block back for a score in Fort Stockton’s win against Big Spring on Sept. 22.

In the first half, Lopez scored on runs from 20 and 3 yards out. Bislar found the endzone from 5 yards out and added a two-point conversion to give the Panthers a 22-0 advantage at the half.

Following Norman’s scoop and score from the punt block, Diego Ramos added a PAT to secure the 29-6 victory.

Big Springs lone TD came on a long pass to an outside receiver according to Fort Stockton coach Lea Daggett.

The Fort Stockton freshman team improved to 4-0 with the win and will host Crane on Thursday, Sept. 29 at 5 p.m.
