Prowlers Seventh Grade A Team 26 Monahans 11
Fort Stockton earned a 26-11 win against Monahans on Jan. 6 behind a well-balanced offense.
Scoring for the A Team were Evelyn Baeza, Zoey Manosihn, Aly Guerrero, Lauren Gonzales, Valeria Marquez, Kailyn Reeves, and Alondra Encinas.
“Both seventh grade Prowler teams played defense and caused numerous turnovers,” Fort Stockton coach Lauren Rubio said.
Prowlers Seventh Grade B Team 13 Monahans 2
Jaelynn Tapp, Yareli Palcios, and Camila Sarabia combined for 13 points in the Prowlers 11-point win on Jan. 6 at Monahans.
Prowlers Eighth Grade B Team 21 Monahans 19
Fort Stockton’s Havyn Gaytan was named most valuable player on Thursday for her efforts on the court during the Prowlers 21-19 win.
“She played hard and encouraged her teammates whistle to whistle,” coach Ashley Lawhorn said.
Lawhorn also named Madalyn Gomez offensive player of the game after she scored nine points, and Alyssa Bernal was named defensive player of the game.
Prowlers Eighth Grade A Team 49 Monahans 42
Strong performances in the post by Jocelynn Arcides and Kimbree Norman set the tone for the Prowlers in their 49-42 win on the road over Monahans on Jan. 6.
Norman finished with a teamhigh 15 points and Arcides followed with 12.
Fort Stockton played consistent throughout, outscoring the Lady Loboes in three of the four quarters during Thursday’s contest.
