Baseball: Panthers outscore opponents 48-6 in first set of scrimmages

If the early signs are telling, Fort Stockton’s baseball team has the potential to do some damage in Class 4A this upcoming season.
The Panthers competed in three scrimmages last week and outscored their opponents 48-6 in their three unofficial victories.
Fort Stockton’s varsity squad downed Presidio on Feb. 7 by the score of 8-2 and followed on Feb. 11 with a 17-1 rout of Kermit.
The Panthers closed out the week on Feb. 13 with a 23-3 win at Alpine.
The Panthers junior varsity program was equally as impressive, defeating Kermit 12-0 and Alpine 17-1.
Fort Stockton’s preseason concludes this week with a scrimmage at Sonora on Friday, Feb. 17 and the alumni game at home on Feb. 18.
