Each year during the holiday season I write a reflection’s poem for the members and friends of our church. I’d like to share this year’s offering with you for our first pastor’s column of the new year.

Despite the grim economic news, the V-shaped economic recovery President Donald Trump has talked about may soon be a reality. The news that several novel coronavirus vaccines will soon be available may allow the lockdowns to end.

We are approaching the anniversary of the most horrific gun massacre in the history of the United States. This time of year, I’m overwhelmed with the memory of those little boys and girls who will never become teenagers, young adults, mothers and fathers, and grandparents who themselves cherish the little boys and girls surrounding them.
