Senobio Ortiz Aranda
On June 15, 2021, Senobio Ortiz Aranda, “a man of determination,” left us to rest in peace. He was a loving husband, father, brother, uncle, and grandpa.
He was born in Mexico. He was determined to reach his goals in life. He became a U.S. citizen as soon as possible. He came to be a hard worker as a cowboy. Later in life he was determined to be a good welder and a mentor to those who also wanted to be good welders. Those who worked with him called him “Sonny.” He was always a good provider for the family.
Senobio was preceded in death by his dad and mom, Valente and Micaela Aranda, and two sons, Senobio Aranda, Jr., and Saul Aranda.
Senobio is survived by his eight siblings, Caterino, Yule, Benito, Magge, Jaime, Delia, Ramona, and Mary; his beloved wife Graselia Prieto Aranda; his three daughters and their spouses, Cristy and Mario Gonzales, Veronica and Bryan Lavoie, and Lilly and Gere Montoya; and daughter-in-law Elia Aranda. He also leaves behind his many grandchildren, Melissa, Elizabeth, Valerie, Mikayla, Daisy, Desiree, Juni (Gerardo Jr.), Geovani, Mireya, Gracey, and Vince; great grandchildren, Jonathan, Jr., Sarai Veronica, and Uriah; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
A visitation for Senobio will be held from 11 a.m.-4 p.m. on Wednesday, June 23, 2021, at the Heritage Funeral Home in Fort Stockton, Texas. The funeral service will be held at 11a.m. on Thursday, June 24, 2021, at the Our Lady of Guadalupe Downtown Parish in Fort Stockton. He will be interred in the Catholic cemetery.
