Samuel Garza Ramirez, 58, of Amarillo, Texas, died, March 25, 2022.

Services were held March 29, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Ivy Chapel in Amarillo with Rev. Emmanuel Burgos of St. Matthews Methodist Church officiating. Burial will be in Llano Cemetery. Arrangements are by Boxwell Brothers Funeral Directors in Amarillo.

Samuel was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, on Oct. 4, 1963, to Ysabel “Chavel” and Victoria Ramirez.

On June 17, 1983, Samuel married the love of his life, Joyce Villalva, in Fort Stockton.

Samuel was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, David Ramirez and Salvador Ramirez.

Survivors include his wife Joyce Ramirez, of the home; daughters Heather Bastardo and spouse David, and Hillary Chavez and spouse Emmanuel, all of Amarillo; brother Armando Ramirez and spouse David Cohen of Dallas, Texas; sisters Ernestina Ramirez of Corsicana, Texas, and Patricia Ramirez, of Robert Lee, Texas; and four grandchildren, Eleeyah Chavez, Samantha Ramirez, Joshua Ramirez, and Sofia Bastardo.

The family received friends on March 28, 2022, at Boxwell Brothers Funeral Home.
