Ophelia D. Calderon
Ophelia D. Calderon entered into rest on March 14, 2021. She was born on April 3, 1926, to Pedro and Guadalupe Dominguez.
She was wonderful, beautiful, and brilliant. In her life she was a beautician, a great seamstress, and the best cook ever. She was a greatest mother, grandmother, great grandmother, and wife.
She traveled to several states, Europe, Rome, Italy, and the Bahamas. She loved dancing with her group and pencil coloring, and she was a fan of the Dallas Cowboys. She loved her family, and was a woman of faith who loved the Lord.
Ophelia is preceded in death by her son Ray Calderon.
Ophelia is survived by her husband Nestor Calderon; her daughter Lucy Spurgeon and husband Ron; her son Nestor Calderon, Jr., and wife Tamara; her brother Juan Dominguez; her sisters Tomasa Rey, Alicia Hernandez, Gloria Byrd, and Lollie Whitehead; eight grandchildren, and 15 great grandchildren.
The visitation was held March 17, 2021, at Heritage Funeral Home, with the funeral service at 11 a.m. on Thursday, March 18, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Downtown Campus. Burial will follow at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.
