Mario B. Hernandez
With Great love and fond memories, we announce the passing of Mario B. Hernandez on May 25, at the age of 64. Mario was born on August 1, 1961, in Fort Stockton. To Miguel and Consuelo Hernandez.
Mario was self-employed and spent his life as a dedicated contractor. He will be celebrated for his humorous spirit and devotion to helping others. Oh, and you cannot forget about his love for his chickens and roosters. Mario enjoyed watching football and was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan.
Mario is survived by his loving wife Gina Hernandez, Daughter; Mercedez Coronado, stepchildren Jacqui Chapoy, Angelique Powers, Dominique Castellano, and Ryan Ortega, and one granddaughter and 6 grandsons. Mario is also survived by his sisters Irma Arias, Esmeralda Arias both of Fort Stockton, Elva Chambers of Lubbock, Alicia Hernandez of Odessa, Brothers; Ruben Hernandez of Lubbock, Armando Blanco and Larry Blanco both of Austin, along with many nieces and nephews.
Mario was preceded in death by his parents Miguel and Consuelo Hernandez; brothers Manuel Hernandez, Reynoldo Hernandez and Miguel Hernandez Jr., and sisters Clara Fierro and Benina Serrano.
His burial was at the Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery. Funeral Services are entrusted to Heritage Funeral home of the Big Bend.
A special thank you to the doctors and nurses at Medical Center Hospital in Odessa. The family would also like to thank all the family and friends who have been so supportive. Your kindness will always be remembered.
