Maria Leticia “Letty” Murphy, 68, of Fort Stockton, Texas, passed away on September 20.
Letty was born on March 9, 1957, in Fabens, Texas, and raised in Sierra Blanca. She built a loving life with her husband, Tulon Murphy Jr., and together they raised a beautiful family.
She is survived by her children: Monica (Mary), Tulon III (Sonia), and Timothy (Melyssa). She was preceded in death by her beloved son, Charles, her brother Lorenzo Ramirez, and parents Secundino & Eduvijes Ramirez.
Letty was the proud grandmother of eight: Abriana (Felipe), Gabriella (Emilio), Shelby, Gabriel, TJ, Kingston, Leon, and Charlotte. She was also blessed with two greatgrandchildren, Xiomara and Elio, who brought her endless joy.
For more than 20 years, Letty served as a dedicated bus driver for Fort Stockton ISD, safely guiding generations of students with care and warmth. Beyond her work, she was known for her devotion to her family, her generous spirit, and her unconditional love. She was a proud fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and never missed a chance to cheer them on. She was always routing against the Cowboys, or the Cowgirls as she called them.
Letty will be remembered for her kindness, her strength, and the way she helped anyone in need without hesitation. Her love leaves a lasting legacy in the hearts of all who knew her.
