María Isabel Rodríguez, 73, of La Rosita, Coahuila, Mexico, transitioned to be with our Father in Heaven on Feb. 16, 2021 in Odessa, Texas.

Prayer service was held on Feb. 22, 2021, at Christian Center in Fort Stockton, Texas. Funeral Mass was celebrated on Feb. 23, 2021, at Our Lady of Guadalupe Parish with Father Lorenzo Hatch officiating. She will be laid to rest at Fort Stockton Catholic Cemetery.  

María Isabel Rodríguez was born in La Rosita to Manuel and Juanita Sotelo on July 8, 1947. She attended school at Santa Elena. She married Rodolfo Rodriguez in Fort Stockton. She was a well-known homemaker who loved to bake and cook. It was very gratifying to her to see people happy.

She was preceded in death by her father Manuel Sotelo, brother Jesus Avila Sotelo, brother Juan Avila Sotelo, brother Ernesto Avila Sotelo, daughter Angélica María Isabel Rodríguez, grandson Javier Alejandro Rodriguez, and great granddaughter Faithlynn Grey Celaya.

She is survived by beloved husband Rodolfo Rodriguez, son Rodolfo Rodriguez, Jr., and wife Janie, son Cesar Rodriguez and wife Rocio, daughter Denise Ureste and husband Leo, Lizette Rodriguez, sister Linda Rey and husband Hector, sister Nora Leyva and husband Guadalupe, brother Arturo Avila Sotelo, mother Juanita Avila Sotelo, and grandchildren Christian Rodriguez, Jonathan Rodriguez, Dominique Ureste, Christopher Ureste, and Zarek Ramirez.

Memorials may be sent to Fort Stockton Christian Center.
