Margaret McDonald Ballew went to be with the Lord on Dec. 21, 2023, surrounded by her friends and family. She was born in Crane, Texas on Sept. 6,1952.

Margaret lived most of her life in Girvin, Texas on the ranch. She was always on the move whether it was working, golfing, or spending time with her friends and family. She was a devoted wife and Christian. Her faith in the Lord helped her through hard times. Most of all she lived a wonderful and blessed life.

She was preceded in death by her father Roy McDonald, mother Evagine Harkey McDonald, brother John Angus McDonald, sister Mary Lou Kneupper and brother David Harkey McDonald. She is survived by her husband William Ballew “Bill;” sister Billie Jean McDonald; brother Roy McDonald II “Buster;” daughter Julie Kay Bigelow; son Justin Farrell Woodward and his wife Janelle; stepson Brett Ballew; granddaughter Lakota Shian Babb; grandson Ty Muench; grandson Taylor Dickerson; grandson Tristin Irvin Tice Babb; grandson Boye Dillard Babb; granddaughter Dezaray Terrazas; granddaughter Hagen Alysse Bigelow; grandson Julian Ornelas; granddaughter Isabelle Ornelas; grandson Jose Ornelas; granddaughter Harley Ornelas; grandson Shane Farrell Woodward, and seven great grandchildren. 

Funeral Services were held at the McDonald Ranch on Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023.

Pallbearers were Debbie Daniel, Amber Montoya, Armida Zuniga, Jenny Hejny, Pam Brooks, Corina Navarrette, Ruthie Andrews, Christy Hodges, Dee Harper and Marsha Wolfe. Honorable Pallbearer, Linda Webb.
