Marcey, was born in Fort Stockton, Texas, on Aug. 10, 1959, to Bobby Gene and Elsie Carol Brown, went to be with the Lord on Dec. 3, 2021.
Marcey graduated from Fort Stockton High School in 1977 and completed her LPN certification at Fort Stockton Memorial Hospital on Dec. 8, 1988. She spent the rest of her career sharing her passion for the benefit of her patients. She finished her nursing career with Dr. Bhattis pulmonary department in Granbury, Texas. Prior to her nursing career, Marcey studied and worked as a hairdresser.
On, July 6, 1993, Marcey married the love of her life, Warren Sheelar. They shared 28 amazing years traveling, fishing, gardening, and enjoyed their time together.
Marcey had a very special bond with her son, Christopher, and her greatest pleasures in life were playing with her grandchildren at every opportunity. She was a true animal lover, and cared for her three pet schnauzers Mischief, Haunz and Fritzie, that were her center of life. Marcey also had a pet White-Fronted Amazon parrot that she dearly loved.

She was a great friend and a patient listener, never burdening any one with her own lifes problems. She will truly be missed.
She is survived by her loving husband, Warren; her favorite son, Christopher Workman and his wife Crystal; and three beautiful granddaughters, Cryslynn, Zoey, and Temperance; brothers Guy Brown and wife Pauline, of Fort Stockton, Greg Brown and wife Jan of Lubbock, Texas; sisters Teresa Gaston and husband Buster of Jefferson, Texas, Bettye Thiel and husband Jody of Midland, Texas; and a host of nieces and nephews whom she loved so much.
A celebration of life will be conducted at Wiley Funeral Home of Granbury on Wednesday, December 8, 2021 at 2 PM. Visitation will precede the service from 12-2 PM. Virtual service will be available.
A graveside burial was conducted at East Hill Cemetery in Fort Stockton on Dec. 9, 2021.
In keeping with Marceys spirit of giving, the family asks that in lieu of flowers, donations in Marceys name be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, stride.org.
