Luis Esequiel Levario Jr. peacefully entered the gates of Heaven and reunited with our parents and other siblings on Dec. 11, 2023, in Fort Worth, Texas.

Luis was born in Ysleta, Texas on April 10, 1950 to Luis and Alvina Levario. He was the third eldest son of eight children. He attended Fort Stockton public schools until he became a Senior Observer Engineer for several seismograph crews, which afforded him the opportunity to travel all over the United States.

He settled in Odessa, Texas in the early 90s. He worked for Nelco Oilfield Services for many years, transporting hazardous materials and treating pump jacks in West Texas and New Mexico.

After retiring a few years ago, Luis enjoyed traveling to visit family and friends. Luis enjoyed his stops at the Sonic in Fort Stockton, where is niece Michelle worked, on his way to El Paso. He admired classic hot rods and owned a few during his lifetime.

He was very family oriented. He loved having conversations with loved ones and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He and his siblings gathered yearly at the cemetery in Fort Stockton on the Day of the Dead to honor and celebrate their deceased loved ones.

He really enjoyed working in his yard and his favorite plant was the Cacti and had several in his yard. Luis loved his dogs and always brought treats for his sister’s dogs when visiting in San Angelo. In later years, Luis would travel to San Angelo and attend church with his sister and during the Thanksgiving holiday in 2018 and 2019 helped the church to deliver meals to needy families.

Luis was a very loving, kind, affectionate man. He adored his mom and made sure she was well taken care of until her death.

He leaves to cherish his memory daughter Jennifer Vera of Oklahoma City; daughter Anita Gouge of Oklahoma City; daughter Emily Levario of Spanaway, Washington; daughter Elizabeth Levario of Oklahoma City; son Ramon Levario of Buda, Texas; brother Margarito Levario of San Angelo; sister Jesusita Levario of San Angelo; sister Clara Diaz of Fort Stockton; 17 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren; several nieces, nephews and cousins.

He will be greatly missed by all and especially for his dry humor and his wonderful hugs! Hasta las otras piscas my brother, from Margarito.

Luis was preceded in death by his parents, Luis and Alvina Levario; brother Jose Levario; brother Ramon Levario; sister Maria Luna; sister Manuela Vargas; nephew Luis Ramon; niece Michelle Diaz.

Services will be held at Church Angels Funeral Home located at 6301 Granbury Road in Fort Worth on Wednesday, Dec. 27, 2023 at 2 p.m.
